CITY MANAGER'S MESSAGE

City Manager John Nachbar officially joined the City of Culver City in August 2010.  Mr. Nachbar’s notable résumé includes a Bachelor of General Studies degree in Political Science and a Masters Degree in Public Administration from the University of Kansas.  Prior to joining the City of Culver City, Mr. Nachbar served as the City Manager for the City of Overland Park, Kansas, a position he held for over ten years.  Overland Park’s population is over 173,000 residents.  Mr. Nachbar’s long, distinguished career also includes serving as the City Manager for the cities of Albany and Patterson in California.  He also served as Deputy City Manager for the City of Tucson, Arizona prior to coming to Overland Park. Some of Mr. Nachbar’s key goals are to help ensure Culver City’s fiscal stability, while leading the City team in the cost effective delivery of high quality City services.
