About Economic Development

“The success of your business is our business.”

Promoting business, jobs and economic vitality in Culver City

The City of Culver City is committed to promoting and sustaining a strong, healthy business climate throughout the community. Economic Development is dedicated to enhancing the City’s economy and business environment by attracting business and investment to the community, expanding the City’s tax base, balancing private sector needs with neighborhood quality of life issues, and implementing the objectives of the Redevelopment Plan.

Economic Development staff serves as a liaison between the municipal government and the business and development community. They focus on promoting and assisting commercial districts by creating a stable and sustainable business environment with an optimal mix of tenants. Economic Development staff also coordinates and administers the functions of the Business Resource Center by working with City departments to create and implement business recruitment and retention programs. The mission of the Business Resource Center is to promote business growth, assist with retention/expansion initiatives, and facilitate new business development. Economic Development staff is available to listen to concerns, answer questions, and be responsive to the needs of the business community.
