The Business Resource Center was created to help the Culver City Business Community with understanding the rules and regulatory processes associated with establishing, altering or expanding a small business. The primary purpose of the Business Resource Center is to offer assistance to business owners by providing information, guidance and referral services in getting through Culver City's permitting and development process.

Our Goal
Our goal is to help you establish your business in a timely manner with minimal problems and misunderstandings. As part of the Center, we will spend the time to help you understand and navigate the City’s permitting process so you can complete your project on time. We look forward to working with you in your endeavors to establish, modify or expand your business in Culver City.

How Can We Help?
Assistance from the Business Resource Center can occur in many forms and commence at any point during the establishment, alteration, or expansion of a business. We understand that you might have some concerns and not be accustomed to interacting and responding to City staff relative to codes and municipal regulations. Thus, we can act as a liaison and offer assistance in the following manner:

The Business Resource Center can provide basic information relative to establishing a business. We provide access to information that helps explain development, permitting, licensing, City processes, requirements, and fees. Permit Assistance
The Business Resource Center can aid you in determining what zoning or building permits you need, completing the appropriate forms, submitting the necessary documents, and providing you in advance notice of what you’ll be expected to fulfill.

Business Assistance Team
The Business Assistance Team is an interdepartmental coordinated effort which guarantees rapid responses to your questions and concerns putting you in direct contact with City personnel from various reviewing/authorizing departments from which you may be required to obtain approvals.

Business Hotline
For those who want to start a business but don't know where to start or need answers quickly, the Business Hotline (310-253-5765) is available to help. The Business Hotline provides timely responses to existing and prospective businesses needing information or assistance.

Culver City Connect
The website features 24-hour access for businesses by providing an efficient web interface that will reach the Business Assistance Team online during City Hall business hours. A customized Business Assistance Request Form is available to help identify types of business assistance needed.
