About

The Culver City Cultural Affairs Foundation is a charitable, non-profit organization dedicated to supporting and promoting the visual arts, performing arts, and the historic preservation programs of the City of Culver City by coordinating and actively pursuing outside funding sources for those programs.

To accomplish our mission, the Foundation reaches out to the community, government entities, corporations and private foundations to secure funds and resources for cultural programs, especially those that have lost funding due to the elimination of the Culver City Redevelopment Agency in 2012.

The Foundation serves as a fiscal receiver for the Cultural Affairs programs of the City of Culver City. Its establishment was one of the goals of the Cultural Affairs Community Cultural Plan, adopted by the City Council in 2003 and was approved in June 2006. The City Manager is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Foundation and Cultural Affairs staff provides day-to-day support administration.

The Foundation solicits private foundation grants, specifically from those foundations that have mission statements directed towards art, culture, and historic preservation, and government grants. The Foundation also accepts individual donations, as well as corporate contributions.
