Resources and Links

Los Angeles County has a well-established tradition of public art. The oldest public art program was established nearly 40 years ago by the Community Redevelopment Agency of the City of Los Angeles (CRA/LA). Other pubic art programs followed, including those that were established in the 1980s by the City of Culver City, the City of Los Angeles, and the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority. The most recent addition came in 2004 when the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors approved a Civic Art Program under the purview of the Los Angeles County Arts Commission.

Below is a selection of various public art programs in Los Angeles County with links to their web sites. Also included is a link to the Public Art Network (Americans for the Arts) web site.
