Day Camps


 The Day Camp Section is responsible for providing quality childcare programs during non-school days. Day Camps are provided during summer break and two weeks during the Spring break. Day Camp hours run from 7:00a.m. to 6:00p.m. 

The Day Camp Section offers two different day camps run by city staff and various specialty camps are run by independent contractors.

Summer Camps:

1. Just 4 Kids Day Camp
Located at Veteran's Park, serves children 5 to 10 years of age.

2. Teen Camp
Located at Veteran's Park in the Teen Center, serves youth 11 to 14 years of age.

Spring Break Camp

Camps are offered during the Spring break in the school year.

Musical Theatre Camp
Offers day camp for Summer break. Located at the Veterans Memorial Building, this program serves children ages 7-17 and provides the exciting experience of performing in a juniorized Broadway musical production. 

Coast 2 Coast Soccer Camp
Coast 2 Coast Soccer Camp gives youth a unique opportunity to enjoy soccer the “Irish way.” Quality Irish and U.K. coaches certified from the Football Association of Ireland will offer age appropriate soccer curriculum in a fun and safe learning atmosphere. Don’t miss this exciting, cross-cultural soccer experience!
 
Clay Camp
Clay Camp at the El Marino Park Ceramics Studio is an exciting and creative experience in a relaxed atmosphere. Children ages 6-14 will explore working with clay to make their own ceramic creations. Children will work with different types of clay and learn many ceramics techniques while creating a variety of projects. The students will also do a lot of free choice projects.

Beyond Pre-K in Spanish Summer Camp
This camp is designed for children to learn and play in a fun-filled environment and also be exposed to Spanish through songs, story time, art, cooking, movement and multi-sensory activities.

SmART Space Summer Art Camp
Space gives young artists the opportunity to explore their creativity under the direction of expert teaching artists. Exciting art lessons include 3-D sculpture, pastel drawing, paper-mache, charcoal, mixed-media, clay working and more. Art Lessons are inspired by master artists, art history, diverse cultures, and our own unique ideas. There are plenty of new projects for returning students. Each Friday afternoon, family and friends are invited to celebrate the artwork in our Student Art Show!
