Day Camps

The Day Camp Section is responsible for providing quality childcare programs during non-school days. Day Camps are provided during summer break and two weeks during the Spring break. Day Camp hours run from 7:00a.m. to 6:00p.m.

The Day Camp Section offers two different day camps run by city staff and various specialty camps are run by independent contractors.

Summer Camps:

1. Just 4 Kids Day Camp
Located at Veteran's Park, serves children 5 to 10 years of age.

Located at Veteran's Park in the Teen Center, serves youth 11 to 13 years of age.

Spring Break Camp
Camps are offered during the Spring break in the school year.

Musical Theatre Camp
Offers day camp for Summer break and Winter and Spring recess. Located at the Veterans Memorial Building. Serves children ages 7-17.

KidzArt Camp
Whether your child is a first-time artist or a Picasso in training, KidzArt will make his or her experience a colorful one. Serves children in grades K-5.

SuperStars - Introduction to Sports
SuperStars is an introductory sports class for boys and girls ages 4 to 8. Our patient and caring instructors teach the fundamentals of the sport while stressing the importance of sportsmanship, teamwork and fair play. Participants will also gain self-confidence in their first sports experience.

Coast 2 Coast Soccer Camp
Coast 2 Coast Soccer Camp gives youth a unique opportunity to enjoy soccer the “Irish way.” Quality Irish and U.K. coaches certified from the Football Association of Ireland will offer age appropriate soccer curriculum in a fun and safe learning atmosphere. Don’t miss this exciting, cross-cultural soccer experience!

Skyhawks Summer Sports Camps
Experience the excitement of Skyhawks Sport Camps! All Skyhawks participants will receive quality instruction, one free sport ball (soccer and basketball only), one free T-shirt, new skills, friends, fun and games, and a personal player evaluation. Mini- Hawk is an introductory program for young children which explores soccer, baseball and basketball in a day-program setting. No pressure, just lots of fun participating and learning through unique games. Mini-Hawk starts children off on the right foot as they take their first steps into athletics.

K-Troop Kamp
Youngsters entering EL MARINO KINDERGARTEN September 2007 can get a chance to meet other fellow classmates while enjoying a summer experience at K-Troop Kamp.

Beyond Pre-K in Spanish Summer Camp
This camp is designed for children to learn and play in a fun-filled environment and also be exposed to Spanish. Through songs, story time, art, cooking, movement and multi-sensory activities children will be learning Spanish.
