Culver City Paratransit Transportation Program
Dial-A-Ride
Culver City Dial-A-Ride van service is provided for qualified individuals of any age who are transportationally disabled (unable to drive or use the public transportation system). Participants must be Culver City residents as defined by our Geographic Information System (GIS) and are required to complete a Paratransit Physician Authorization Form. Forms are available at the Senior Center or by
clicking here.
Once registered, participants must call one day in advance to request transportation. City van drivers are available to provide reliable and courteous curb to curb service from 8:30 am to 4:15 pm, Monday – Friday. Common destinations include grocery stores, recreational facilities, beauty salons, doctor offices, etc. Priority is given to trips for medical appointments. All trips must take place within in the boundaries of Culver City—with the exception of the Kaiser-Permanente medical facility located at 6041 Cadillac Ave. A donation of 50 cents each way is suggested. Donations help support and maintain the Dial-A-Ride Program.
Taxi Coupon Program
Discounted Taxi Coupons are available for purchase to qualified Culver City applicants. Culver City residents of all ages are eligible. Proof of Culver City residency is required as well as a completed Paratransit Physician’s Authorization Form verifying the necessity of the program due to transportational disability.
Taxi Coupons are also available to residents of Los Angeles County who reside in View Park, Windsor Hills, and Ladera Heights. In order to qualify for the program, these non-Culver City residents age 60 and older must simply provide verification of residency address. Persons under the age of 60 living in these areas must provide verification of residency and a completed Paratransit Physician’s Authorization Form.
Each month, for the cost of $2.00 per book, program participants may purchase Taxi Coupons, which have a use value of $10. All cab trips must originate or end in Culver City or designated Los Angeles areas. For each taxi trip taken, participants may use a maximum eight dollars ($8) in coupons. Riders are responsible for the remaining fare (if any) and tip.
