Annual Alley Clean Up to Start on April 2, 2018
The City of Culver City, Public Works Maintenance Operations Division will begin its annual alley clean-up/maintenance on April 2, 2018 and is expected to take approximately 3 months to complete all alleys in the City. The maintenance generally begins in the alleys in the western portion of the City and progresses through the eastern and southern portions during the 3 month period.
The maintenance will include grading unpaved alleys, weed abatement, picking up abandoned items, and pothole filling. The work will not include paving of alleys.
To ensure the clean-up effort is successful and pursuant to Culver City Municipal Code Section 9.08.010, you are required to remove or cut back any vegetation from your property that may encroach or overhang into the public alley and obstruct or interfere with the scheduled clean-up NO LATER THAN MARCH 31, 2018. Vegetation includes, but is not limited to, vegetation, weeds, trees, branches, limbs, and/or bushes that encroach into the public alley. Failure to comply may result in an Administrative Citation being issued.
Should you have any questions in regard to the above, please contact Eric Mirzaian, Maintenance Operations Manager, at 310-253-6444.
