The examination process will consist of a physical agility test (qualifying), P.O.S.T. entry-level written test (qualifying) and an appraisal interview (weighted 100%). The City of Culver City uses the P.O.S.T. Entry Level Law Enforcement Test Battery (PELLETB) and will accept T-scores from other agencies within a six (6) month time period. The T-score must be on agency letterhead and must be submitted along with your application. The written test will be waived if the T-score is a passing score with our agency. Note: Applicants may not take the POST written test within 30 days of taking it with another agency.
The exam date is tentative until qualifying candidates receive written confirmation from the Human Resources department. Candidates must successfully pass each test phase in order to continue in the testing process. Candidates who successfully pass all components of the testing process are placed on the eligible list in ranked order.
