On March 3, 2008, Culver CityBus is commemorating its 80th Anniversary of providing safe, efficient and affordable public transit to the residents of Culver City and the surrounding communities. Culver CityBus has carried approximately 229 million passengers during the past 80 years of service which has contributed greatly to the reduction of traffic, air congestion, and pollution. To celebrate, Culver CityBus has designated March 3, 2008 as “Free Fare Day.” Approximately 20,000 passengers are expected to ride Culver CityBus on this day.

Culver CityBus is California’s second oldest municipally owned transit system, with a fleet wholly comprised of compressed natural gas (CNG) buses. Culver CityBus operates seven routes, serving approximately 5.8 million passengers annually with a service area encompassing 25.5 square miles, which includes the Westside communities of Venice, Westchester, Westwood, West Los Angeles, Palms, Marina del Rey, Rancho Park, Mar Vista, Century City, and Culver City.

Due to the Culver City Car Show the bus will NOT service the following stops:

Please board the bus eastbound at Washington Bl./Duquesne Ave. and Washington Bl./Ince Ave. Westbound - Washington Bl./Ince Parking Structure and Washington Bl./Hughes Ave. (In front of Mrs. Garcia’s Restaurant)

Holidays : Culver CityBus provides reduced bus service on Saturday, Sunday and holidays on Lines 1, 3 and 6. Weekend service is provided on New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. Lines 2, 4 and 5 DO NOT run on Saturday, Sunday or holidays.
