Who Can Run For City Council?

Any member of the public who meets the requirements below may run for public office in the City of Culver City.

  • Only residents of the City who are lawfully registered voters of the City shall be eligible to hold an elective City office.
  • Candidates for election to any such office must have been lawfully registered voters of the City for the 30 days immediately preceding the filing of their nomination papers.

Registration will be verified before issuance of nomination papers.

Candidate Forms

Candidates should schedule an appointment to receive the official election nomination documents and be prepared to provide their name and residential address for validation of current voter registration and eligibility status.  The official nomination period is December 18, 2017–January 12, 2018. Nomination forms are issued at no charge.

Office hours are Monday through Thursday 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and. Alternate Fridays from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
