Public Education &Training Services


Fire related presentations and classes are offered on a request basis to schools, citizen groups, businesses, and organizations. Topics include: fire safety, smoke detectors, use of fire extinguishers, firefighter familiarization, the history of the Culver City Fire Department, and how to become a firefighter.

CERT & DAT Programs
The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Program is designed to train residents to assist safety personnel and city staff in the event of a major disaster. The Disaster Awareness Training (DAT) Program consists of short programs aimed at assisting citizen groups, schools, businesses and organizations in establishing plans for dealing with major disasters.

Fire Station Tour Request
Culver City fire stations are open for tours every Friday with the exception of the first Friday of each month. During the tour, a variety of subjects may be covered, i.e. basic fire safety, fire department equipment, emergency medical services and life at the fire station.

Our station tours are designed for schools and organizations within Culver City and the Culver City School District. Groups of children must have one adult for every six children. Sign up for your tour below.

Residents of Culver City interested in touring the fire stations are encouraged to attending our Annual Fire Service Day event held every year in May.
