Senior Citizens (62 and over), disabled, and Medicare recipients must show their ID in order to pay a reduced cash fare.
When you are getting on a Culver CityBus, please have exact fare ready to place in the farebox. Culver CityBus fareboxes accept dollar bills and coins; however, they DO NOT make change, and Operators DO NOT carry change.
EZ transit pass
The monthly regional transit pass is available. Travel all around Los Angeles County without the hassle of buying transfers or looking for extra change by using the new EZ transit pass. The EZ transit pass is good for unlimited local riding on the following transit services:
The EZ transit pass costs $84.00. Senior/Disabled/Medicare EZ transit pass costs only $35.00.
*The EZ Transit Pass is not honored by Metrolink, however, valid Metrolink tickets or passes will be accepted for unlimited local travel by every participating carrier, except Santa Monica's Big Blue Bus.
Senior/Disabled Rider Identification
Seniors must be at least 62 and show proof of age to purchase and to board using one of the following identification cards: DMV senior (or license), Orange TAP Card, or Medicare Card.
Disabled passengers must show one of the following identification cards to purchase and to board: Green Access Paratransit TAP ID Card (note: white Access Paratransit ID cards expire Feb. 29, 2012), DMV placard receipt, LACTOA, Medicare, Long Beach Transit disabled or other appropriate disabled identification.
Express Services EZ transit pass
Customers using express services and/or paying zone chares will require an additional premium fare. Premium stamps start at $22 extra (Senior/Disabled start at $9.50) and may be purchased with your EZ transit pass. We accept MTA tokens but not MTA bus passes. The MTA token is good for one adult, student, senior or disabled fare. Passengers must pay additional to receive and Inter-Agency Transfer.
We DO NOT accept Santa Monica's Big Blue Bus tokens.
Transfers
You will need a transfer if you take more than one bus to reach your destination. If you need a transfer, please inform the Operator upon boarding the bus. To complete a one-way trip using Culver CityBus, you may request a local transfer.
When transferring to MTA, Santa Monica's Big Blue Bus, Gardena Municipal Bus Lines, Torrance Transit or LADOT, you must purchase an Inter-Agency transfer. Inter-Agency transfers are not good for transferring from one Culver CityBus to another.
Transfers are valid for two (2) hours. They must be properly punched and are only accepted at transfer points (locations where two or more buses connect).
