Special Interim Application Period to Appoint Members to Vacant Positions
At the October 23, 2017 meeting, City Council directed staff to commence with an interim appointment process to fill vacancies on Culver City commissions, boards and/or committees. There are vacancies on the following bodies:
Civil Service Commission, Landlord-Tenant Mediation Board (1 Tenant Position), Finance Advisory Committee (1 Local Business Position), Fiesta La Ballona Committee, Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee (1 Resident position), and LAX Area Advisory Committee. Applications will be accepted by the City Clerk’s Office through Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at 5:00 PM.
Appointments for these openings, which have different start/end dates, are tentatively scheduled to be considered by the City Council on Monday, February 26, 2018. New appointees will be required to attend a Brown Act /AB1234 (Ethics) training within one year of accepting a position. Applicants are encouraged to reach out to City Council members.
