Culver City 2022 Homeless Count 

According to the 2023 Homeless Count, there is an estimated 261 people experience homelessness in Culver City on any given night. View the results for the 2023 Homeless Count here. With economic challenges and rising housing costs across the region, that number continues to grow. Culver City has a plan to support our unhoused neighbors home one-by-one through a mix of housing, services and outreach. Culver City Homeless Info Line

The Culver City Homeless Info Line can be reached at (310) 253-6767 to report a homeless individual that may benefit from services or secure copies of the Homeless Resource Guide.

Los Angeles County Homeless Outreach Portal

The Los Angeles County Homeless Outreach Portal (LA-HOP) is designed to assist people experiencing homelessness in LA County with outreach services.

The resource guide provides referral information for Crisis Lines, Food Programs, Homeless Shelters & Services, Legal Services, Medical & Mental Health Programs, and Substance Abuse Programs.

Plan to Prevent and Combat Homelessness

The City has developed a plan of goals and actions to address homelessness solutions and prevention within the next three years, given opportunities and available resources. The Plan to Prevent and Combat homelessness identifies seven specific goals and their supporting actions and includes bonus information from stakeholders, community members and Los Angeles County.

Partnerships

St Joseph Center Staff St. Joseph Center 

The City of Culver City contracts with St. Joseph Center to provide homeless outreach. If you note homeless activity, please contact Culver City's Housing Division at (310) 253-5780. Staff will reach out to St. Joseph's Homeless Outreach Team so they can connect homeless individuals with housing, medical care, and support services.

Upward Bound House Family Shelter

Upward Bound House Family Shelter works with Culver City Unified School District to link homeless children in Culver City schools to housing and supportive services.

Culver City Advisory Committee on Housing and Homelessness

The Culver City Advisory Committee on Housing and Homelessness is committed to improving the quality of life in Culver City as follows: 

  • Advise City Council & staff in Identifying Short & Long Term Strategies to Decrease Homelessness
  • Review the Homeless Services Provided Independent Contractors and Make
  • Recommendations to Improve Service Delivery
  • Collaborate and Educate within Our Communities and Act as a Voice for the Public
  • Coordinate the Annual Homeless Count
