Culver City Symphony Orchestra was founded in 1963 in Westchester, and has been in Culver City since 2000. We present symphony concerts and events in Culver City and Marina del Rey to the city's residents and local neighbors in the Los Angeles region. While not needed for every concert, we do at times need volunteer assistance.
Concert assistance such as usher concert patrons to their seats and handing out concert program books. Volunteers also assist in orchestra sponsored events as ushers, serving snacks and drinks. Culver City Symphony Orchestra sometimes need people with food service experience to help in their concession stand. Volunteers receive free admission to the concerts they work. The orchestra sponsors a concerto competition for young musicians, and there may be need for volunteers to escort the contestants from the rehearsal space to the competition space, both within the venue.
Culver City Symphony Orchestra concerts are typically held in the Veterans Memorial Building Auditorium and some events are held at the Kirk Douglas Theatre, both are located in Culver City.
