Maestro Clyde Mitchell will open the concert with excerpts from Peter Tchaikovsky’s beloved ballet, Swan Lake followed by our 2019 Parness Concerto Competition Senior winner, Abriana Church, in a performance of Prokofiev's Piano Concerto No. 2, considered to be one of the most technically formidable piano concertos in the standard repertoire. The concert will end with one of the most popular symphonies of all time, the melodic and lyrical Symphony #9 “From the New World”, by Czech composer Antonin Dvorak.
