The City of Culver City is updating its General Plan to respond to the changing needs and conditions of the city and region and to reflect new state laws. Before the City can approve the General Plan, the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) requires that the City study the Plan's potential environmental impacts and mitigation measures. The City evaluated the potential environmental impacts of the Plan using an Initial Study (IS) and determined that a full Environmental Impact Report (EIR) will be required to analyze the GPU’s environmental effects. A full list of environmental issues identified for further study can be found on the Notice of Preparation (NOP).

A virtual EIR Scoping Meeting will be held on Thursday, March 24, 2022 at 6 PM. The purpose of the EIR Scoping Meeting will be to solicit input and written comments from agencies and the public on environmental issues or alternatives they believe the EIR should address. The meeting will be open to the public and begin with a presentation followed by a Q&A session. Questions can be submitted by email in advance to advance.planning@culvercity.org, and there will be opportunities to ask questions during the meeting.

Register to attend the virtual EIR Scoping Meeting and tell your neighbors!
