Dr. Janet Cameron Hoult has lived, studied, and worked all over the world but called Culver City home since she first settled there in 1970. She told her second husband, Charles Hoult, a rocket scientist, that she would only accept his marriage proposal if he moved to Culver City, and in 1991, they bought a house on Motor Ave. Together they traveled the world, chased solar eclipses, and mentored student rocketeers, until his death in 2016. Janet now enjoys her many step-grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Dr. Hoult received degrees from USC (Ed.D. in 1980), UCLA (M.A. in 1972), Universite de Grenoble in Grenoble, France (C.E.S. in 1963), and the University of Washington (B.A. in 1958). Dr. Hoult was also a Fulbright Fellow and Lecturer in France.
