Do you and/or yours want to learn how to swim? Are you looking for a place to work on improving swimming strokes, endurance and speed? Let our friendly and experienced American Red Cross Water Safety Instructors help you and your swimmers reach your next swimming goals. Registration Information

How to Set Up An ActiveNet Account

  1. Click here to set up an account.
  2. Click on the "create account" link in the upper right corner
  3. Enter your email address in the box
  4. Click on the green box that says "Next"
  5. Enter your First name, last name , date of birth, create a password and confirm your password
  6. Check the two boxes
  7. Click on the green box that says "Next".
  8. Enter your gender, address and phone number
  9. Create your security question, fill in your answer and then confirm your answer
  10. Check the I’m not a robot box.
  11. Click on the green box that says "Submit" and you are ready to go

Registering For Classes

  1. Log in to your account.
  2. Click on the "Activities" Link- the second word on the gray bar below the green logo/picture.
  3. Enter "swim" in the activity box. All the Swim Lessons Activities will pop up by Learn to Swim Level. (The number under the third column labeled open will show you how many spaces are open in that level.)
  4. Select the Level you would like to register for and click on the blue button to the right of that level that says "more".  All the times available for the level you selected will pop up. (The number under the third column labeled open will show you how many spaces are open at the given time.)
  5. Select the time you would like to swim by clicking the green button on the right that says "add to cart". (Note: If the button to the right of the time you would like is blue and says "Wishlist" it means that the registration for that activity has not started. You may add it to your "wishlist" to speed up the registration process when the activity does open. Check above for registration dates)

New Refund Guidelines for Plunge Cancellations

New Culver City PRCS Refund Guidelines for Cancellations

All refunds/cancellations must be requested in writing. Click here request a refund.

Refunds will be issued either in the form of a check, an account credit, or a refund back to the credit card of purchase and may take 2-6 weeks to process. Credit card transactions can take 2 to 5 days. Full refunds will be extended any time a program, activity or rental is cancelled by the City. 

  •  No refunds, transfers, or cancellations will be granted after the second class meeting.
  • Refunds/prorations will not be given for missed classes nor may classes be made up due to participant illness or absence. 
  • Refunds requested at least 7 days prior to the start of an activity will be granted a full refund.
  • Refunds requested 6 days prior to and/or before the second class meeting will be issued a refund less a 15% processing fee


 

 

 


General COVID-19 Lesson Structure (NEW)

General Class Information

  • Instructors will not come into physical contact with their students
  • Instructors will be teaching from the deck and providing in-water demonstrations as needed while maintaining six (6) feet distance
  • Parent/guardian and student will be referred to as a Student Parent Teams
  • Locker room changing areas and showers will be available for showering or changing
  • Masks must be worn inside the locker room at all times when not actively showering. 
  • Students and parent student teams must exit the facility by the top of the hour.
 

Levels L1, L2, L3 and Parent and Me

  • Class size will remain limited.
  • All students enrolled in L1, L2, L3 and Parent and Child or in Private Lessons for Level 1, 2 or 3 must be accompanied in the water by an adult parent/guardian who will facilitate the student's instruction.
  • Parent/Guardian must be over the age of 18 and must maintain a 1 to 1 parent/guardian/student ratio.
  • L1, L2, L3 and Parent and Me student parent teams will be spaced out so that there is a maximum of two student parent teams per lane.
     

Levels 4 and 5

  • Class size will limited to 3 participants per lane. 
  • Levels 4 and 5 will take place in the deep section of the pool.

Junior Guards

  • Class size will be limited to 3 participants per lane.
  • Daily classes will include a 30 minute dry land segment where stretching, dry land exercises, first aid, water safety and/or CPR skills will be covered.
  • Students should bring tennis shoes and water to each practice.

Check In, Lesson Staging and Check out Process (NEW)

  • Check in will begin outside the plunge at 15 minutes to the hour.   
  • Students and student parent teams must check in at front. 
  • At 5 minutes to the hour staff will make any needed announcements.   
  • Once lifeguarding staff is ready students and student parent teams will be let in to the facility to go to their classes.
  • Locker room changing areas and showers will be available for showering or changing
  • Masks must be worn inside the locker room at all times when not actively showering.  
  • All students and student parent teams must shower at the outdoor showers before entering the pool.
  • There will be a 5-minute warning (3 short whistle blasts) 5 minutes prior to the end of the swim lesson.   
  • Students and student parent teams must exit the facility (including the locker rooms) through the south west gate by the top of the hour.
