Street Closures: Thursday, June 29, 2017 8am-5pm
Linwood Howe Elementary School is currently under construction to upgrade the HVAC heating and cooling systems. These new HVAC units will save energy and provide a more efficient learning environment for the safety and comfort of the students, faculty, and staff.
On Thursday, June 29, 2017 from 8am to 5pm, there will be street closures on Irving Place and Van Buren Place to accommodate the crane required to lift the HVAC units onto the rooftops of multiple Linwood Howe Buildings. Traffic control will be in place to assist drivers and pedestrians during the crane operation.
This Energy Retrofit Project will replace older lights with LEDS and replace older HVAC units with newer more efficient ones. These projects are taking place over the summer break to limit disruption to the students during the school year.
