Speaker Series Event on September 11 6:30-8:00 PM
The City of Culver City is hosting an exciting Speaker Series on critical issues affecting Culver City, the region, and beyond. The City's General Plan Update will set a vision, goals, and policies around these topics. Attending the series of events offers an opportunity to learn about, reflect on, and discuss these issues leading up to, and during, the update. Topics include mobility, urban design, social equity, housing affordability, emergency preparedness, dynamic parking pricing, healthy communities, and much more to come. The entire community is invited to join in the discussion! Access a written summary and video link of past events on the Speaker Series page.
On Wednesday, September 11, Culver City welcomes Joanne Hovis for a presentation on 'Broadband: Strategies & Opportunities.' Hovis, President of CTC Technology & Energy and CEO of the Coalition for Local Internet Choice (CLIC), will discuss how the public sector can build strategy and opportunity for public-private partnerships in broadband. Opportunities for Culver Connect, the City's municipal fiber network project facilitating high-speed data connectivity to Culver City businesses, will be examined.
