Park to Playa Trail Bridge RenderingLos Angeles County, in cooperation with Culver City and the City of Los Angeles, has undertaken a project to construct a pedestrian bridge across La Cienega Boulevard to link the multi-use path from Kenneth Hahn State Recreation Area to the beach. The project includes undergrounding the utilities on La Cienega Boulevard from Wrightcrest Drive to south of the new pedestrian bridge. The new pedestrian bridge will be installed sometime in 2020.

The pedestrian bridge and wildlife crossing spanning La Cienega Boulevard will connect the Kenneth Hahn State Recreation Area (SRA) with the Stoneview Nature Center and provide an unbroken 13-mile corridor through several recreational and conservation areas accessible to walkers, runners and bicyclists. Griffith Company is the design-builder for this $10.8 million Los Angeles County project.

Construction crews have started work in preparation for the installation of the bridge. From 9am to about 3pm, you may see temporary lane closures along La Cienega Blvd. Please try to find alternative routes if possible.
