The Double M Jazz Salon continues its legacy at the renowned, Mayme A. Clayton Library and Museum in Culver City.

The Double M Jazz Salon was started in 1996 my Jazz Baroness Mimi Melnick, and continued through hosted performances out of her Encino home where she passionately supported the local jazz community.

The Mayme A. Clayton Library and Museum is the product of the life's work of the founder Dr. Mayme A. Clayton, collector of African American Books, Culture, Scholarly Material, Art, Artifacts and Ephemera for 45 years and has since been maintained by a host of supporters of her mission.

Her efforts resulted in the largest privately owned collection of African American Culture in the world with over 2 million items. Now housed in Culver City.
