Coastal Cleanup Day

Coastal Cleanup Day (CCD) is an international event with over 60 countries around the world participating, making it one of the largest volunteer efforts on the planet!

  • Date: 09/21/2019 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM
  • Location: Ballona Creek Bike Path
    Bike Path
    Culver City, California 90232
  • Introduction: Each year, Culver City Public Works Environmental Programs and Operations and local community support, participate in the Annual Coastal Cleanup Day (CCD) on the Ballona Creek bike path.

1. Register
Although this step is optional, by registering with Heal the Bay, you'll be informed via e-mail of the latest news regarding your participation in this year's Coastal Cleanup Day. They will even send you a reminder right before the big day! Register today!

2. Select a Location
Culver City cleanup registration sites will be located on the Ballona Creek bike path at Syd Kronenthal Park, Duquesne Avenue, Overland Avenue, Sepulveda Blvd and at street side along the creek at Jefferson Blvd. and Hetzler.

3. Print & Sign the Waiver Form
Everyone who joins us for Coastal Cleanup Day is required to sign a waiver. Although we'll have waivers at each cleanup location, your check-in will be smoother and faster if you arrive with your signed waiver. All volunteers under the age of 18 must have the appropriate liability waiver signed by a parent or legal guardian before participating in a beach cleanup. Please view & print a waiver, have it signed today, and bring it with you!

4. Zero Waste or darn near.
Cleanup supplies are provided at all sites (trash and recycling bags, gloves, data cards, pencils). NOTE: This year we will be trying to make this year’s cleanup even greener. Bring buckets, garden gloves, and reusable water canteens to the event if you have them.

2019 Coastal Cleanup Day is Almost Here!
