2019 E-waste and Confidential Paper Shredding Roundups
Got Confidential Files?
Culver City residents can safely dispose of their electronic waste and confidential paper files at Culver City’s quarterly E-waste and File Shredding Roundups. It’s easier than ever to make sure your old computers and confidential paper files are safely disposed of in a manner that’s most convenient for you. Drive up, drop off and drive away!
2019 E-Waste and File Shredding Roundup Schedule
- June 15, 2019
- September 7, 2019
- December 14, 2019
Roundups run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and are hosted at Syd Kronenthal Park (3459 McManus Ave), which is located just east of Downtown Culver City.
Know What to Shred
You don’t need to shred every document that contains your name and address. You only need to shred confidential materials, such as:
- Bank Statements
- Medical Records
- Tax Records
- Anything containing social security, banking, investment or credit card account numbers
There is a limit of 25 legal size boxes per resident.
Wipe Electronic Waste
The City can provide a certificate of cleaning upon request. Wiping electronic waste of personal data keeps your personal information secure and out of the hands of identity thieves.
The Public Works Environmental Programs and Operations Division sponsors the E-waste and File Shredding Roundups throughout 2019, free of charge. For more information, visit the City’s Trash and Recycling Collection Services webpage or call (310) 253-6400.
NOTE: Household hazardous waste materials will not be accepted. Residents can, however, drop off their hazardous household items at the next Too Toxic to Trash event on Saturday, June 29, 2019.
