Southern California Edison's Transmission Aerial Inspections
SCE will be conducting aerial inspections of its electrical equipment in the Culver City area over the next few weeks. The aerial inspections of SCE's distribution facilities will involve the use of helicopter and/or drones and will only take place during daylight hours.
They are doing this in all high fire risk areas—approximately 35 percent of their service area. SCE's activities may be disruptive when they do this important safety work and will do everything they can to minimize the impact to the Culver City community.
Currently the plan is for the inspections to be conducted on Thursday 8/22 through Friday 8/23, but re-inspection may be necessary outside this time frame. Cities affected include: Santa Clarita, West Hollywood, Culver City, Inglewood, Los Angeles and Unincorporated LA County communities of Ladera Heights, Windsor Hills. Sections of LA City include Chatsworth, Stevenson Ranch, Hollywood Hills and Universal City.
