Founded by singer/songwriter Jimetta Rose, VOICES OF CREATION is a 13-membersoul/jazz choir whose mission is to heal themselves and others through music.

“When starting this endeavor,” explains Voices of Creation’s Jimetta Rose, "I imagined that each one of us was most powerful and most present and able to lead when singing our soul's truest note. I believe that that would make harmony more evident, and coexistence would be less painful, less full of this cacophony of misery... maybe by singing together we can learn to listen and blend our sharper edges with one another. Singing of our collective hopes for tomorrow, we can surely build days and ways of peace for our children and those to come.

Hailed as the “Best Free Outdoor Summer Concert Series” by Los Angeles Magazine and called “a grand gift to the public” by LA Times, Grand Performances celebrates its 35th season of presenting high-quality music, dance, theater, and more in 2021.
