Beehive is incorporated into a two-story office building and consists of four columns with a staircase wrapped around them. Mr. Moss's intention was to design a building that appears to be kinetic, yet in actuality is a stationary structure.

Eric Owen Moss is a Culver City based architect known for his conceptually challenging designs. Several of Mr. Mosses' buildings (or portions thereof), are designated under Culver City's Architecture as Art program. These include: Untitled (3535 Hayden Avenue) (1997), What Wall (1998), and Umbrella (1999).
