Senior Nutrition Program

Jewish Family Services (JFS) provides the Elderly Nutrition Program at the Culver City Senior Center. The program includes the Congregate Meal Program and Home Delivered Meals Program. Anyone 60 & over and disabled individuals may qualify. Adjustments to the program were made in accordance with LA County's COVID-19 directives.  For more information, please visit the Jewish Family Services website.

Can I come pick-up the meals?

This service is for registered Congregate Nutrition Meal patrons under the age of 65 and those who are 65 , who have a family member, friend, neighbor or caregiver under the age of 65 who can pick-up the meal. It is located in the Senior Center parking lot Mondays and Wednesdays between 10:30 am and 12:30 pm.

What if I need the meals delivered?

This service is for registered nutrition patrons ages 65 who do not have anyone to pick up their meals. The City will deliver frozen meals on Mondays and Wednesdays between 11 AM and 2 PM. 

What if I was enrolled in the Pre-Covid-19 Home Delivered Meals?

Existing Home Delivered Meal clients will receive three frozen meals on Mondays and four frozen meals on Wednesdays.

What Type of Meals are Served?

The City provides three frozen meals on Mondays and four frozen meals on Wednesdays. 

What if I am concerned about a neighbor, friend, or family member?

What is Snack N' Chat?

How about a fresh cup of coffee and Danish in the Snack 'n Chat Coffee Shop located in the Senior Center lunchroom? Coffee, tea, toast, bagels, danishes, and other yummy items and beverages are available to purchase.

Hours of Operation  

  • Toasted bagels and other food items are served from 8:30 a.m. to 9:45 a.m.
  • Hot coffee, tea, and other beverages are served from 8:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. or until coffee runs out

Coffee Tuesdays!

On the first Tuesday of every month, free coffee is served from 8:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. or until the program runs out of coffee. For the remaining Tuesdays of every month, coffee is sold for $0.25 per cup.  No free refills.
 
This program is sponsored by the Culver City Senior Citizens Association and is open to anyone.
