Updated Rules and Guidelines for the Senior Center

  • Masks are strongly encouraged, but not required.
  • Personal belongings including card games and table cloths are no longer allowed to be stored at the Senior Center overnight.  
  • All participants must be current members of the Culver City Senior Citizens Association, Inc. (CCSCA). New memberships can be purchased at the business desk.  
  • Seniors must fill out the 2022 PRCS waiver.
   

 

Our primary mission is to provide a variety of educational and recreational classes. 

The Center offers social services for:

  • seniors
  • residents with disabilities
  • members of the public

Our programs and services promote:

  • personal growth
  • improved health
  • enriching life experiences

The Culver City Senior Center works with various organizations to provide:

  • Senior & Social Services including Human Relations, Administration and Programming and Special Events
  • Disability & Social Services with resources to Paratransit Services such as Culver City and Los Angeles County Taxi Coupons and Dial-A-Ride Programs.
  • Volunteer Program and serves as a site for volunteers.
  • One organization is the Culver City Senior Citizens Association, Inc.

History of the Senior Center

Our History

In 1972, The Center opened to provide support for seniors and the disabled at the Old Library. In January 2003, construction of the state-of-the-art facility finished. Today, the Senior Center has over 5,000 diverse members. It offers over 100 activities and services. Rooms include a multipurpose room, conference room, patio, computer lab, and fitness center. The site is part of Culver City Emergency Services and Disaster Preparedness Plan It is a shelter and cooling or heating station. The Culver City Senior Center is also a labelled Focal Point by Los Angeles County, Area Agency On Aging.

Membership Information

The Center partners with the Culver City Senior Center Association, Inc.(PDF, 50KB) (PDF, 50KB)(CCSCA), a Non-Profit Organization formed on March 22, 1972.

 

Returning Members

  • All 2022 memberships and parking passes will be valid through December 31, 2022.
  • If you lost your blue 2022 membership card, you can get a new for $1.00 at the Business Desk. 
  • If you lost your 2022 parking pass, you must purchase a new one for $5.00 at the Business Desk.

 

New Members

New members must purchase a CCSCA membership for $20.00 at the Business Desk and a $5.00 parking pass if they choose. 

Reminders

  • Your blue CCSCA membership card must be with you at all times when in the Senior Center.  You may be asked to show your card at any time.  
  • It is mandatory for all seniors to sign the 2022 Culver City PRCS waiver and a 2022 CCSCA waiver the first time you come to the Senior Center. Waivers can be picked up at the Business Desk.
  • Seniors must be aged 50+ to be a member of the CCSCA.  

Does the Senior Center accept any donated items?

Culver City Senior Center is currently not accepting donated items.
