GPAC Member Laura StuartWhat ties do you have to Culver City?

I am a 25 year resident with 25 years of community service.

What experience or expertise do you have which qualifies you to serve on the GPAC?

Homeowner and landlord. Passionate about our City. 25 Years of service to the community coupled with 40 years of experience as a law firm Director of Administration. Member of multiple community groups. And a parent and grandparent.

What other resources (foreign language skill, participation in a local organization, practical skill, etc.) might you bring to enhance the quality of the General Plan process?

As a Director of Administration for law firms, I have to be highly organized and skilled at multiple disciplines from space planning to HR. I have managed large and small groups of people with multiple talents and needs to create well working happy Teams. I am very familiar with local ordinances and building codes and tend to be the go to person when someone needs to navigate the permitting process in Culver City. Currently Director of Development - CC Historical Society; Treasurer - Friends of the Culver City Dog Park; member of the Culver City Exchange Club; Member of the Heart of LA Democratic club.

What motivates you to participate in the General Plan process?

The future of our City and how we grow and develop is crucial to healthy and happy residents and businesses. I am proud to be part of that process.
