The Day Camp Section is responsible for providing quality childcare programs during non-school days. Day Camps are provided during summer, winter and spring breaks. Day Camp hours run from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

The Day Camp Section offers five day camps run by city staff and camps run by independent contractors.

Spring Camps

Clay Camp


Clay Camp at the El Marino Park Ceramics Studio is an exciting and creative experience in a relaxed atmosphere. Children ages 6-14 will explore working with clay to make their own ceramic creations. Children will work with different types of clay and learn many ceramics techniques while creating a variety of projects. The students will also do a lot of free choice projects.

Located at Veteran's Park in the Teen Center, serves youth 11 to 13 years of age.

1st Class Kids Kamp

Join 1st Class Kids Kamp for 8 weeks of fun for campers who are just as big as the other kids. Enjoy a fun filled summer of arts & crafts, water fun, sports, dance & movement, games, songs, and fun field trips full of amusement & entertainment.

 

Beyond Pre-K in Spanish Summer Camp

This camp is designed for children to learn and play in a fun-filled environment and also be exposed to Spanish through songs, story time, art, cooking, movement and multi-sensory activities.

Musical Theater

Session I: June 25-July 21     Session II: July 30-August 25

Children ages 7-17 will have a blast this summer rehearsing and performing a Broadway style junior musical! Mandatory camp orientation for campers and at least one parent or guardian.

Youth Sports Enrichment

YSE Sports Camp is a youth sports program where chil- dren participate in a variety of sports such as flag foot- ball, basketball, soccer, “Hunger Games,” and much more. Also, fun activities such as cooking and board games are also offered as well as field trips.
