Specialty Camp is for children 8 to 10 years of age  and grades 3rd - 5th who want to take part in a variety of “special themed weeks.” If your child is 11 they must be going into 5th grade in the upcoming school year.

Wacky Wild Science Week

June 17 - June 21

Imagine a day camp that is designed to offer campers a choice of many different science themes and explore the world of great inventor's. Projects based around, Robotics, Engineering and Space. Campers will look at the mechanics behind how everyday materials work. Field trip to the California Science Center and IMAX theater.

Artkoodle Art Week

June 24 - June 28

Join us for a summer of creative fun in our exciting themed art camp! Campers will explore many art mediums and styles in our full-day camp this summer.  Campers will complete projects and will also have outdoor activities, teamwork/skill-building activities and more! LACMA

Amazing Race Week

July 1 - July 5

This camp is designed for campers to enjoy outdoor adventures. Campers will create scavenger hunts, learn their communities by walking, read adventure books and more. Field trip to the Discovery Cube Los Angeles.

Sports Week

July 8 - July 12

Sports week promotes physical activity, cooperation, and positive reinforcement. We've created a fun, nurturing environment for campers to explore their strengths, learn new ways to play sports and make new friendships. Trip to Mulligans Fun Center.

Around the World in 5 Days

July 15 - July 19

Campers will explore different countries of the world each day while enjoying food, crafts and games. Field trip to the Los Angeles Sparks Game (Women's Professional Basketball League) 

Musical Theater Week

July 22 - July 26

Campers will participate in daily acting, improv and dance classes while performing in short skits  Field trips to Bob Baker Marionette Theater

Imagination Week

July 29 - August 2

This camp is designed for campers to use their imagination to create art, games and to enjoy outdoor activities. Field trip to Golf N Stuff.

Wizards, Knights and Pirates Week

August 5 - August 9

Come explore the world of fairy tales and adventure. Campers will participate in role play activities, books, games, and projects. Campers will have the opportunity to hunt for buried treasurer, defend the castle, and mix up some wizardly grub. Field trip to Pirate Adventures.

S.T.E.A.M Week

August 12 - August 16

Campers will participate in hands-on experiential learning that explores science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics in project-based activities. Field Trip to Long Beach Aquarium.

Camp Fees

  • Residents $135 per week
  • Non-Residents $166 per week
  • Second Child Residents $120 per week
  • Second Child Non-Residents $151 per week
  • Morning Care $26
  • Specialty Weeks (Additional $20 per week)

The City Council sets the fees annually. Fees may be adjusted every July 1st and any increases shall be applied to all program activities regardless of when enrolled.
