CCSCA Memberships may be purchased at the Business Desk which is located adjacent to the atrium lobby area during operating Business Desk hours.

Hours:

Monday-Friday 

9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Business desk closes for cash and check transactions at 4 PM. No other type of payment is accepted.

Saturday and Sunday 

12:00 PM - 4:00 PM
Business desk closes for cash and check only transactions at 3:30 PM. No other type of payment is accepted.

Culver City Senior Citizens Association, Inc. (CCSCA)

The Center partners with the Culver City Senior Citizens Association, Inc. (CCSCA), a *Non-Profit Organization formed on March 22, 1972. To participate in activities and events offered by the CCSCA in partnership with the City of Culver City, older adults ages 50+ may register in person at the center to become a CCSCA member. Culver City residency is not required to become a CCSCA member. 

*Non-Profit Organizations are tax-exempt organizations under the Internal Revenue Code, including charitable organizations, churches and religious organizations, private foundations, political organizations and other nonprofits. Membership allows access to CCSCA programs and activities for the calendar year (January - December). CCSCA Membership must be renewed at the beginning of each year. Only cash (no bills over $20.00) or checks are accepted. No refunds.

*All Fitness Room participants must have and a current Physician's Authorization Form(PDF, 180KB). 

Activities & Programs

The Center offers a variety of activities and programs for CCSCA members such as Tai Chi, Zumba, Mat Pilates, Yoga, Karaoke and more. Check out our list of complete activities and programs in our most recent Culver City Senior Center newsletter.

  • Free Legal Counseling - Appointment required.
  • Free Paralegal Assistance - Appointment required.

AARP Driver Safety Program

The AARP Driver Safety Program is the nation's first and largest refresher course for drivers age 50 and older. This program has helped millions of drivers remain safe on today's roads.

Classes meet for two 4-hour sessions. Full attendance is required to receive the Department of Motor Vehicle certificate that may qualify you for a three-year reduction on your Auto Insurance premium. Classes are limited to 25 participants.

Fees are $20.00 for current AARP members (proof of membership required upon payment) or $25.00 for Non-AARP members.

2024 4-Hour Refresher Course Schedule

In order to qualify for the refresher course, a participant must have taken an 8-hour AARP course within 3 years. Classes are limited to 25 participants. Please call (888) 687-2277 to verify if you have taken the class in the last 3 years.

Senior Center Rentals

The Culver City Senior Center does not allow rentals during normal operating hours.

History of the Senior Center

In 1972, The Center opened to provide support for seniors and the disabled at the Old Library. In January 2003, construction of the state-of-the-art facility finished. Today, the Senior Center has over 5,000 diverse members. It offers over 100 activities and services. Rooms include a multipurpose room, conference room, patio, computer lab, and fitness center. The site is part of Culver City Emergency Services and Disaster Preparedness Plan It is a shelter and cooling or heating station. The Culver City Senior Center is also a labelled Focal Point by Los Angeles County, Area Agency On Aging.
