Senior Center Programs

The Culver City Senior Center is OPEN!  Culver City Senior Citizens Association, Inc. (CCSCA) memberships for adults 50+ and parking passes for 2023 can be purchased at the CCSCA Membership Drive in the Senior Center lobby. CCSCA membership registration is available Monday through Friday from 9 AM - 4 PM or Saturday and Sunday from 12 PM - 3 PM in-person only. The CCSCA accepts cash and checks for membership fees. No other form of payment is accepted.

Activities and Classes

Activities & Classes for Senior Center members include: Fitness Classes, Yoga, Tai Chi, Line Dancing, Language Classes, Movies and many different types of Art Classes including Watercolor and Ceramics. We offer Holiday Parties and so much more!!

If you are interested in starting a new Culver City Senior Citizens Association, Inc. (CCSCA) activity at the Culver City Senior Center, please complete the Culver City Senior Citizens Association Application and Proposal form.  Staff will then review your submission and reach out to you about your proposed activity. Computer Room's Open Lab

Open Lab hours are Monday, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 9:15 AM -11:15 AM.

Educational Seminars

Every month a variety of financial and medical educational seminars are scheduled. Professionals from their respective fields are invited to be guest speakers on a particular topic of interest.

These seminars are open to the public and free of charge unless otherwise noted in the monthly newsletter.
All programs and services are offered at the Culver City Senior Center unless noted otherwise.

When attending, please park across the street at the Veterans Memorial Park (Senior Center parking is reserved to Culver City senior Citizens Association, Inc. members by permit only)

If you are interested in presenting an educational or informational topic at the Culver City Senior Center, please complete the Senior Center Presentation Proposal Application form. Staff will then review your submission and contact you about your proposal. Thank you for your cooperation.

Fitness Room

If you wish to participate in the Fitness Room, you must have your physician complete the Physician's Authorization Form(PDF, 182KB)  . 

Moderate physical activity is good for seniors of all ability levels. Our fitness room allows members to stay active, healthy and have fun. Members can increase mobility, flexibility, balance, strength and endurance in our fitness room.

Membership with the Culver City Senior Citizens Association is required to participate(PDF, 171KB) .

2023 Fitness Room Membership Fee

The fees for 2023 are $125.00 for the whole year or $75.00 for 6 months (Jan. 1st – June 30th or July 1st – Dec 31st). CCSCA members can purchase a Fitness Room Membership at the business desk and submit their Physician's Authorization Form(PDF, 182KB). While using the Fitness Room, CCSCA current year Membership Card must always be presented upon request and must have stamp identifying fee(s) paid.

Pool Room

The Senior Center Pool Room is now open in a new location and with new pool tables. The Pool Room is now located in the old Conference Room in the C-wing of the Senior Center. The City of Culver City has purchased 2 brand new pool tables for all CCSCA members to enjoy. You must be a member of the CCSCA to use the Pool Room. The new Pool Room has a maximum capacity of 12 individuals. This capacity limitation has been set in place by the Culver City Fire Department for your safety.

Beginning February 1, 2023, all CCSCA members must pay a $1.00 fee at the Business Desk prior to entering the Pool Room.

Trips

The Trip Office offers a variety of day trips and overnight trips including Las Vegas or Laughlin, long distance and even international trips.

Membership with the Culver City Senior Citizens Association is required to participate(PDF, 171KB) .

The Trip Office is currently open Wednesdays and Fridays from 10 AM to 1 PM.  Please bring your CCSCA membership card when reserving your spot for each trip. The Trip Office only accepts cash or checks as payment.

AARP Driver Safety Program

The AARP Driver Safety Program is the nation's first and largest refresher course for drivers age 50 and older. This program has helped millions of drivers remain safe on today's roads.

Classes meet for two 4-hour sessions. Full attendance is required to receive the Department of Motor Vehicle certificate that may qualify you for a three-year reduction on your Auto Insurance premium. Classes are limited to 25 participants.

Fees are $20.00 for current AARP members (proof of membership required upon payment) or $25.00 for Non-AARP members.

2023 4-Hour Refresher Course Schedule

Legal Counseling

The Culver City Senior Center offers free basic legal consultation to Culver City Senior Citizens Association (CCSCA) members.

Each appointment lasts 30 minutes and objective advice is given. The volunteer attorneys provide this service as a way to give back to the community. These volunteer attorneys give general advice and make suggestions to the members on how to deal with their legal issues involving wills, trusts, elder law, conservatorship, bankruptcy, contract and other general legal matters.
