Culver City Pool
“The Plunge” operated by the City of Culver City’s Parks, Recreation, and Community Services Department was opened on August 31, 1949. Our mission is to provide comprehensive aquatics programming that meets the needs of the community through highly accessible, enjoyable and varied opportunities for learning and recreation. We strive to offer a safe, responsive and welcoming environment that promotes the health and well-being of our City’s residents.
As new COVID-19 cases remain at alarming levels and the number of people hospitalized continue to increase, the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health issued a new temporary order effective November 30, 2020. The City of Culver City has issued a Public Order that mirrors the latest County Order.
In this new Order the Los Angeles County Public Health Department orders the following for Pools: “Pools that serve more than one household may open only for regulated lap swimming with one person per lane.” To remain compliant with the new order the Plunge will be open for Lap Swim Only from November 30, 2020 through December 20, 2020.
