Review and Comment on the Initial Study (IS) and Notice of Preparation (NOP) of an Environmental Impact Report (EIR) for the General Plan Update (GPU) Between March 3 and April 4 and Attend the Virtual EIR Public Scoping Meeting on March 24, 2022 at 6 PM!

The City of Culver City is updating its General Plan to respond to the changing needs and conditions of the city and region and to reflect new state laws. Before the City can approve the General Plan, the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) requires that the City study the Plan's potential environmental impacts and mitigation measures. The City evaluated the Plan's potential environmental impacts using an IS and determined that a full EIR will be required to analyze the GPU’s environmental effects. A full list of environmental issues identified for further study can be found on the NOP

A virtual EIR Scoping Meeting will be held on Thursday, March 24, 2022 at 6 PM. Register to attend the meeting. The purpose of the EIR Scoping Meeting will be to solicit input and written comments from agencies and the public on environmental issues or alternatives they believe the EIR should address. The meeting will be open to the public and begin with a presentation followed by a Q&A session. Questions can be submitted by email in advance to advance.planning@culvercity.org, and there will be opportunities to ask questions during the meeting.

You can review digital copies of the NOP, IS, and related noticing on the GPU project website and hard copies at City Hall at the Current Planning Division counter on the Second Floor and the Culver City Julian Dixon Library. If you would like to pick up a hard copy from City Hall, please contact Advance Planning Division staff at (310) 253-5740 or advance.planning@culvercity.org.

Please review and comment on the NOP between March 3 and April 4 and share this request widely!

Written comments should be received on or before Monday, April 4, 2022 at 5:30 PM. Written comments should refer to the Project by its title (IS/NOP for Picture Culver City: General Plan 2045) and be emailed to advance.planning@culvercity.org or addressed to:
