Information Technology is responsible for providing desktop computing, telecommunications, and network services to all departments and divisions within the City. Information Technology provides project management, systems planning, design, and programming support for the enhancement of existing and new systems.
With 20+ years of IT experience, J.R. Wright started in the private sector as CTO and COO before moving to the public sector in 2018. He has worked with cities like Merced and Torrance to improve team development and technology strategies. Wright cultivates collaboration, mentoring, and learning to build high-performing teams and drive successful, organization-wide technology initiatives.
