Healthy Communities
On Wednesday, December 11, Culver City held a Speaker Series event focused on ‘Health Communities.’ The City welcomed four speakers on the topic, each with experience in working with various populations, including seniors, people with disabilities, and residents of low-income communities. The panel featured Gayle Haberman, Director of the Office of Planning, Evaluation, and Development in the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health, Louise McCarthy, President & CEO of the Community Clinic Association of Los Angeles County (CCLAC), Stepahanie Ramirez, Associate State Director of Community with AARP California, and Tom Kelly, Interim Executive Director of the Westside Regional Center. Their presentations were followed by a discussion moderated by Mayor Meghan Sahli-Wells.
