Culver City Symphony Orchestra celebrates Spring and Earth Day

SoCalSymphonySm.jpg

For our FREE Spring concert, we celebrate the changing of the seasons and Earth Day. We open with the waltz “Voices of Spring” by Johann Strauss II in the original version with soprano solo, followed by one of Aaron Copland’s best-loved works, the Suite from the ballet Appalachian Spring. Then we travel with Beethoven into the "Pastoral" countryside and get caught in a thunderstorm.

Program:
Johann Strauss II - Frühlingsstimmen (“Voices of Spring”) with Brooke deRosa, Soprano
Aaron Copland - Appalachian Spring Suite for full orchestra
Ludwig van Beethoven - Symphony No. 6 in F major, Op. 68, “Pastoral”

Conductor: Clyde Mitchell
