Flavors of Origin Food Festival

Higher Ground for Humanity is partnering with the Boys & Girls Club Culver City to host a free family friendly and community driven summer event with good food, music, art and so much more.

Join us on July 15th at 11am for our first annual Flavors of Origin Food Festival. This year's theme is Wakanda honoring the warrior in you!

Our goal is to provide knowledge and skills to the community in order to support a more balanced and full life. Through your tickets and donations we hope to sponsor at least 60 kids to attend the festival and provide food literacy education in a fun, engaging and accessible way.

• Food vendors including vegan, vegetarian, along with mocktails and energy drinks
• Artistic Vendors including African Art and more
• Nutrition Labs for all ages
• Live Stage Entertainment including expert panel discussions for the whole family
• Spoken word competitions
• Expert Panel Discussions- Exploring Emotional Health examines our psychological relationship with food and the behavioral habits we can form to better our health and set an example to youth.
• Fitness Competitions
• Youth Artistic & Musical Competitions
• Electric Slide Competition
• Cooking Demonstrations - Our kid’s kitchen teaches ways to make cooking fun for the whole family, by providing advice on how to make cooking a creative and fun experience for youth.

For more, we’re also offering a chef’s tasting menu curated by Chef Kyndra, seen on the Food Network show CHOPPED, owner of Swift LA- a sustainable food cafe, for purchase. This will help us reach our goals and here’s how it works.
