At 8:00 PM: In Temple Akiba’s social hall Psychopomp will share our exciting dance theater work NAMES. This performance is also free and open to all community members. Inspired by the biblical story of Shemot, or the Exodus story, NAMES is an exhilarating dance theater work performed by five eclectic dance artists exploring how our own ancestral experiences of bondage, freedom and redemption continue to shape our present day lives. Taking inspiration from the Rabbinic belief that each year during Passover we ourselves must feel we were the ones brought out of slavery from Egypt, NAMES utilizes high octane movement, storytelling, as well as scenic and prop elements to transport the audience into a liminal and spiritual space bringing to life an ancient but intrinsic story of humanity.

Tickets: FREE! JUST RSVP! Bring your friends and join our community!

This performance is made possible in part by the City of Culver City and its Cultural Affairs Commission, with support from Sony Pictures Entertainment.
