Outdoors & Environment Volunteer Opportunities

Our Mission is:

Protecting the greater Ballona Wetlands ecosystem from encroachment by surrounding development and raising awareness of the wetlands through public education and outreach.

Volunteer Positions:

We will be hosting habitat stewardship events on March 22nd, April 5th, and April 19th. We start with an optional nature walk at 9 AM followed by self-paced weed pulling between 10 AM and 12 PM. The meeting point for both activities is the dirt packing area just inside the gate to Area A of the Ballona Wetlands Ecological Reserve, which is located on Fiji Way in Marina del Rey directly across from Whiskey Red's Restaurant. Water bottle, sun protection and close-toed shoes are recommended. Gloves and tools are provided.
