The Culver City Parks, Recreation and Community Services (PRCS) Department is replacing a El Marino Park's playground that served children ages 2 to 5. The community is encouraged to voice their opinions. A community meeting will be held on Tuesday, April 23rd, from 6:30 to 8 PM to discuss design options for the new playground. The meeting will be located in the El Marino Park building. El Marino Park is located at 5301 Berryman Ave, Culver City, CA 90232.
The aging playground structure at El Marino Park was closed earlier this week to begin removal and after serving countless children and families, it is ready for replacement. Parks, Recreation & Community Services will use this opportunity to not only replace and upgrade the existing equipment, but also add in several new sensory and accessible elements to provide a more equitable space for all to enjoy.
Meanwhile, the Culver City Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department has begun the picnic shelter upgrade project at Lindberg Park.
Demolition of the existing shelter will begin the week of April 14, 2024 and we can look forward to a new picnic pavilion in a few months.
