NOTICE OF PLANNING COMMISSION PUBLIC HEARING

The Planning Commission is pleased to invite your participation in a meeting concerning the following:

WHO:      Shane Swerdlow/Craig Lawson (Applicant) // Silvestre G. Gonzales/Gonzo 11, LLC (Property Owner)

WHAT:     Request for a Conditional Use Permit to add three vehicle repair bays to an existing remote customer auto repair Facility.  The proposal includes tandem parking and a Zoning Code Map Amendment for a portion of the property, which is in the Commercial General (CG) Zone. (Case Nos: Conditional Use Permit, Administrative Use Permit, Zoning Code Map Amendment, Categorical Exemption, P2021-0043-CUP, -AUP, -ZCMA, -CE).

(This is a courtesy notice updating the previous notice which indicated an April 27, 2022, meeting.  At the April 27th meeting the item was continued to May 11, 2022, to comply with publication requirements.) 

WHY:       The purpose of the Public Hearing is for the Planning Commission to review and to receive public input on the proposed modification to the existing remote customer auto repair facility and consider approval of the request.

CEQA:     Pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Guidelines, initial review by staff established there are no potentially significant adverse impacts upon the environment, and the project has been determined to be Categorically Exempt pursuant to CEQA Section 15301, Class 1 – Existing Facilities. The proposed project involves a small 2,167 square foot addition to an existing auto repair facility to accommodate additional vehicle repair space. The project will result in less than 10,000 square feet of total area.
