Waiver of Bidding Requirements and Award of Labor and Materials Contract for Construction of Two Private Offices at City Hall

The City Council is pleased to invite your participation in a public hearing.

The City Council invites your virtual or in-person participation in a Public Hearing regarding the waiver of formal bidding procedures as authorized by Culver City Municipal Code Section 3.07.090.E, and to award a contract with Esplanade General Contractors in the total amount of $78,574 to construct two private offices at City Hall; CIP No. PF-036.

The City Council public hearing will take place on July 10, 2023 at 7:00 PM.  Please see instructions below on how to participate in the meeting and how to submit public comments.

View the City Council Agenda and staff report, available for viewing at City Hall and online no later than 72 hours prior to the meeting date and time. City Hall Hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM, closed every other Friday (Closed June 30, 2023).

In-Person at City Hall – Mike Balkman Council Chambers, 9770 Culver Boulevard, Culver City, CA 90232. Online via Webex. Attend the meeting remotely.  Indoor masking in highly recommended, but not required.

How to Submit Written Public Comment Prior to the Meeting

Submit written comments before 3:00 PM on Monday, July 10, 2023. Written comments WILL NOT be read aloud during the meeting.

How to Attend the Meeting

Attend In-Person: Face masks are strongly recommended but not required. Learn about the Coronavirus and the City's response, recommendations, and requirements.

Join Online via Webex: Once the meeting has started, find the meeting link under "Attend a Meeting Remotely" on the City's website. Registration is no longer required.

How to Provide Verbal Public Comment In-Person or Online

***New Process***

Find the meeting link under "Request to speak at a Meeting" on the City's website. Complete and submit the online form. Indicate if you are attending in-person or online and select all the items on which you wish to make a verbal comment. A QR code to the online form will be provided on site for in-person attendees. Verbal public comments are taken at the time the particular agenda item is considered. Requests to speak must be submitted before the start of the public comment period for each agenda item or will not be considered. Whenever reasonable, speakers will be called in chronological order based on when they registered to speak. Each speaker may address the members of the body for up to three minutes.
