Temporary Use Permit Application (TUP)

Need to apply for a temporary use permit, special event or temporary event?  This is the right place.

Examples of Temporary Uses:

  • Construction Yards
  • Real Estate Sales Offices
  • Seasonal Sales Lots (Pumpkin Patches, Christmas Trees, etc.)
  • Storage
  • Temporary Mobile Residence
  • Temporary Structures
  • Temporary work trailers

**** The Temporary Use Permit (TUP) application shall be filed at least 14 business days in advance of the proposed commencement of use.

Step 1.Gather your information

  • One site plan of the area showing the site including the placement of the temporary use, existing building on the site, adjacent properties, and boundary streets. If the temporary use is placed in the parking lot, show parking spaces and note how many spaces will be inaccessible. For temporary uses having to do with remodeling, include the use and square footage of the existing building and the floor area of the portion that is being remodeled.
  • Additional requirements may be required based on type of use/ circumstances.

Fill out the online Temporary Use Permit Application.

Step 3.Submit Payment

After you submit your application, usually within 1-2 business days,  you will receive an email with a link to pay for your application.

Step 4.We'll Respond via Email

Once payment is received, the Current Planning Division, will review your application which will take 9-12 business days to process. Once approved, the assigned Planner will reach out with further instructions.

Step 2.Fill in the Temporary Use Permit Application form

Step 3.Bring documents to Current Planning 

Submit your Temporary Use Permit application with above documents, and payment to the Planner on Duty.

The Planner will review your application, which will take 9-12 business days to process. Once approved, you will be contacted with further instructions.
