Corridor Walk Audit (Veterans Memorial Park)

You are invited to a walk audit beginning at Veterans Memorial Park to learn about proposed mobility improvements as part of the Better Overland & Safer Fox Hills Project!

During the event, you'll be able to provide your feedback as your walk with City staff along the project corridor and learn about about specific proposed improvements.

Date: Saturday, April 27, 2024
Time: 1:00 – 3:00 PM
Begin: Veterans Memorial Park, 4117 Overland Ave, Culver City, CA
We'll be meeting at the Film Strip U.S.A art fountain located at the southwest corner of Culver Blvd & Overland Ave.
End: Blanco Park/El Rincon Elementary School (1.5 miles)
Free transportation will be provided back to Veterans Memorial Park via Culver CityBus.

Important Info:

This event consists of a physical 1.5 mile walk beginning at 1:00 PM at the Film Strip U.S.A art fountain at Veterans Memorial Park and ending at Blanco Park. We'll walk south along Overland Avenue, stopping along the way to talk about proposed improvements and get your feedback.
Free Culver CityBus Line 3 service will be provided from Blanco Park back to Veterans Memorial Park at the end of the event.
Remember to bring water wear comfortable shoes, and dress appropriately.
This is a rain or shine event! If rain is in the forecast, don't forget your umbrella.

The Better Overland & Safer Fox Hills Project is working to improve travel for everyone, whether you walk, use a wheelchair, bike, take transit, or drive. Proposed improvements include new pedestrian-scale street lighting, street trees, accessibility improvements for people with disabilities, bus stop enhancements, protected bike lanes, and more.
