Temporary Sign Permit Application

Need to apply for a new temporary sign, such as temporary banner, future occupancy, new business, construction, etc.?  This is the right place.

Examples of temporary signs:

  • TEMPORARY BANNER – A sign that is made of durable cloth, plastic or similar non-rigid material that displays business identification, advertising or promotional message, and that is displayed only for a short period of time as regulated in this Chapter.
  • NEW BUSINESS SIGN – A temporary sign that displays only the name of a new business or a change in the name of an existing business.
  • CONSTRUCTION SIGN – A temporary sign that identified the names, addresses and telephone numbers of parties directly involved in the business occupancy, construction, design, or fining of pending or in-progress physical improvements to the premises.

 

 

Online

Step 1. Gather your information

  •  Two (2) copies of photograph (printed out legibly, preferably in color) showing the location of the proposed sign.

    •  Show proposed location of sign on the photograph.
    •  Note the size, dimensions, material, fastening method (if applicable) of sign
    •  Indicate the purpose of sign, i.e. sale, new business/coming soon, etc.
  • Applicant will need to provide a Property Owner Authorization Form.

Fill out and submit the Temporary Sign Permit Application.

Step 3.Submit Payment

After you submit your application, usually within 1-2 business days,  you will receive an email with a link to pay for your application.

Step 4.We'll Respond via Email

Once payment is received, the Current Planning Division, will review your application which will take 5-7 business days to process. Once approved, the assigned Planner will reach out with further instructions. 

 

 

 

In Person

Step 3.Bring documents to Current Planning 

Submit your Temporary Sign Permit application with above documents, and payment to the Planner on Duty.

The Planner will review your application, which will take 5-7 business days to process. Once approved, you will be contacted with further instructions.
